Without a doubt, while in Greece, you will want to go to the Flea Markets. Flea Markets are usually held on Sundays but when in Greece everyday could seem like a Sunday. Flea Markets can be held in small shops which are open 7 days a week or stalls that appear out of nowhere in the wee hours of the Greek Sunday morning. Go very early as they become crowded quickly. Wear comfortable shoes because they are huge and more intriguing with each spot you pass.
Greeks are known for their antiques, pottery, art, olive oil, fabrics, spun yarn, and flokati wool woven rugs. The Grecian sculptures and jewelry such as worry beads, eye beads, and belts made of silver are exquisite. The Greek food is unique and can be found during your Flea Market adventure.
