Mykonos, Greece

Mykonos Island is the most popular of the Greek Islands. In this picturesque village, there is plenty to do for the tourist, from relaxing at the beaches to dancing the night away at the nightclubs.

This island was once poor, with people mostly depending on fishing and ship building to make a living. The tourism industry didn't really start until the 1950's, and that changed the future. The architecture is absolutely gorgeous, with most of the houses and buildings strikingly white against the bright blue sky and the waters that surround them. This island is world-renowned for its beaches. You can either enjoy lazing at a relaxing beach, or you can party the night away at the party beaches. There are the water activities to enjoy as well.

One of the hotels to stay in is Pelican Bay Art Hotel. This hotel illustrates the colors of the island around it. You won't have any complaints with your posh settings and the quality service and friendly staff. Walk around the charming town, and watch the people just living their lives. There could be people shopping at the local markets or men trying to catch their quota of fish. Visit the quaint little shops, restaurants, or explore the churches in this splendid Greek setting. Or, visit the most scenic and intimate part called “Little Venice.” This is where the bars and nightlife is. One is Katerina's Bar, where you can relax with your drink and watch the sky's deep colors streaking across the water at sunset. There are many other areas that you can visit, which is what makes this island the place to go for nightlife. This island will satisfy anyone with all it has to offer.
