Greek Nightlife

As a way to escape the everyday frustrations of life, many people like to have a night out on the town. While they are on vacation, a night out on the town seems standard for your everyday plans. If you have traveled to Greece or are thinking of traveling to Greece in the future, there is plenty of nightlife in that country to keep you entertained.

First and foremost, there are plenty of young adults that visit this country so let’s start there. The younger locals coupled with the large amount of “backpackers," creates quite a nightlife scene. The Greek island of Ios, have a reputation for being a party island. Most of the islands hot spots like Kandi and Planet Ios are assumed to be overrun with young college kids and the parties compare to fraternity parties. Another place for the younger crowd is on the island of Andros. This island has been rumored to have a party crowd in their mid to upper 20’s. The scene is not as juvenile as fraternity parties, but they are more for tourists looking for a good time. If you were to go out in either of these islands, you are sure to have a good time.

If you are not into the college scene and want more of an adult atmosphere, you might want to visit Cavo Paradiso in Mykonos. There is more of a grown crowd and it’s very common to see jet setting celebrities out on the town, having a good time. If you want to mingle with an older crowd, Mykonos is a definite.
